About the course
It’s an easy-walking golf course – it’s flat and relatively featureless so it won’t blow you away from an aesthetics viewpoint. Generally-speaking the fairways are tight and it’s crucial to keep the ball straight and you also need to watch out for the lightning fast, but true, greens.
Weston super Mare Golf Club offers an enjoyable round and will challenge the ability of all levels of golfer. It is often described as a “tough par and an easy bogey” that challenges all standards. The course is an easy walk, with generous fairways making a good score a real possibility. It has superb views of Brean Down, Uphill Church, Steep Holm & Flat Holm and outwards Cardiff down the Bristol Channel. In summer the greens are fast and true. It’s an all year round course. It’s always said about the friendly welcome you get at Weston, you’ll never be a stranger for long!
Weston super Mare Golf Club is a superb links course with over 125 years of history initially designed by Tom Dunne then slight modification carried out in the 1920’s by Dr Alistair Mackenzie famous for The Masters, Augusta National USA.
