About the course
Oakmere Park Golf Club is rated as one of the best golfing venues in Nottinghamshire and is the home of two free draining heathland golf courses designed by Frank Peninck. The main Admirals golf course – named after Admiral Sherbrooke VC – consists of 6,565 yds (white tees) of rolling, undulating terrain, with a par of 72. It’s a pleasant, relaxing walk with ponds and the Dover Beck meandering through the golf course and coming into play on some of the holes. The Admirals golf course is ably supported by the nine hole Commanders golf course with its two sets of tees.
The 9 hole course, named after Commander Mortensen, is a championship length course of 6407 yds with a par of 72. Much care and time has been invested in the natural heathland landscape with trees, gorse and hedgerow to establish an interesting and challenging layout.
