About the course
It may be a little short but it’s great fun to play with some interesting holes and above average greens. Set in the Fenlands, it’s pretty flat but has water hqazards and trees to keep you thinking. A very friendly club.
Ramsey is a picturesque parkland course on the edge of the Fens. It was formed in 1922 as a Gentlemen’s Club and in 1965 a 9 hole course was opened by Dai Rees, Peter Alliss, J Morgan and Michael Bonallack – three years later the former returned with Gary Player, Dave Thomas and Brian Barnes to open the full 18 holes. The course has matured well down the years – more trees have been added – while the greens have significantly improved and are playable year-round. Overall, Ramsey is a very fair test of golf.
