About the course
A scenic 9 hole, par 70, course located above the town of Langholm in the Scottish Borders. Founded in 1892, the course has been through several design changes over the years, and now offers a challenging test for golfers of all abilities. No matter which hole you are on, the views are spectacular, none more so than the mountains of the Lake District to the south west. The course’s signature hole is the short par-4 seventh. At 334-yards, the hole routinely catches the over-adventurous.
The green is an island affair, cut off in front and right by a large ravine, bounded by trees on the left and an out of bounds at the rear. The ideal way to play this hole is an accurate drive down the fairway followed by a short pitching wedge to the center of the green, which can be easier said than done.
Situated just a few miles over the border on the A7, we are ideally placed for visitors from both sides of the border. Whether a society day, club trip or single tee times all visitors are very welcome. The clubhouse and bar is only open at weekends, but catering can be arranged on request.
