About the course
This clifftop, seaside course is, quite possibly, one of the most enjoyable courses in the area. It may be windy at times and there may be hazards at almost every turn, but that does not stop you from enjoying what is an absolutely brilliant course that, frankly, doesn’t get the respect and attention it so richly deserves.
The club, which is also referred to by some locals as Belvedere, was founded back in 1905 and was originally laid out by the great James Braid, a prolific course designer in his day and who won the Open Championship on numerous occasions.
This flat, parkland course provides easy walking and yet remains a challenging test. The club is sited south of the town with quite magnificent views of the Bay.
