About the course
Nelson Golf Club was founded in 1902 at Kibble Bank (nine holes) before moving to Marsden Heights in 1917. The golf club is situated on a plateau overlooking Nelson and Burnley though its creator, Dr. Alister MacKenzie managed a design providing superb panoramic vistas while at the same time avoiding any serious climbing. The golf course is laid out in two loops of nine and the 1st and 10th holes are conveniently situated by the clubhouse.
